The photos above and to the right are of one of the two oceanfront master suites. Both of these suites open onto the 45-foot oceanfront terrace with direct beach access. All 4 master suites have their own private en suite (attached) bathroom. The two oceanfront suites and one of the townside suites have king beds. The other suite has a queen bed plus a daybed (see below). I'm told by Alison that women know what "daybed" means. For the rest of us, it means one twin bed that looks like a couch, but when you take the pillows off it becomes a single bed. |

To the left is the king bed in the other oceanfront master suite. To the right is a view from that suite. The ship at anchor is the Octopus, the second-largest privately-owned yacht in the world (owned by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen). Look closely. See the tiny figure on the deck? That's Paul gazing at Casa Del Mar, wishing he could stay here.

Left is the king bed in one of the two townside suites. All suites have their own private attached bath, two side tables, two reading lamps, a ceiling fan (of course, Casa Del Mar has central air conditioning, two zones), hair dryer, closet, pillows, linens, towels, washcloths, soap, etc. Some of the suites have a safe.

On the right is the seating nook of the above townside suite. This suite has a king bed (above), and, like each of the four suites, a private attached bath. And no, that's not a photograph of cruise
ships --
